Default state farm drive safe and save.. anybody use this?

I received a letter saying I should use this program on my vehicles. $5.99 per month per vehicle and I can save up to 50%..

Anybody go this route, did you save money?

I looked into it once. I don't need them tracking where I go and what speeds I run them on.

I passed.

They make it clear your rates can't go up. I am totally down for this.

That is what I was worried about, just breaking even and being forced to pay for the service

This is actually reminded me that I should cancel it. When I had progressive it was a free service, but we actually saved a good chunk of money.

It looks like if you have onstar or that other GM system it is free. If you don't you have to pay the monthly monitoring of the other service..

I didn't even think about it, but I'm sure that thing plugs into the OBD port, which would render my edge monitor useless. Not going to do that, I drive a ford 6.0.. I have to keep an eye on it, so I know when it will explode.

GM owners have to be careful with those devices......they have been having issues with them causing issues with the vehicles. I think there is a TSB on it.

They make 2 port OBD connectors.

does state farm's system stay in your vehicle full time, or just a trial period like progressive?

Yes keep the edge monitor you don't need another car going up in flames.
