My Hi - lift jack will not cycle down. It will cycle up though. Any suggestions?

oil the piss out of it. Work the pins with a screwdriver. Wipe off the dirt and oil.... repeat about 3 times.

Should be good.

You also need to have weight on it in order to cycle down.

I have found that when you start to encounter this problem it is best to take it apart and clean it. They are very simple to do, no rocket science involved. Don't just clean the pins, the bores are what tend to hold the junk that makes them stick.

Throw it in a dumpster. Fuck those jacks, only time it served me well was to span the doam of my jeep after an accident so the doors would fit again.
