Default Bush's Public Address

Did anybody else see the public address tonight. I thought that he said some pretty good thing. Holding Iraq accountable, searching for a means to and end, and telling the nay sayers to either put up or shut up. That was big I think. All these people just saying get out, get out... He is saying ok, how would you do it and not cause a vacuum. It will be interesting to see how things pan out in the next few months.
Also, saying that Iraq will use Billions of their own money from oil rebuild their country, and giving iraqui people incentive to help bring peace to their neighbor hoods by paying them. Sounds like to me a pay neighbor hood watch program. Good ideas all around in my opion.
Discuss.

I agree that someone wrote a very very good speech this time. He sounded pretty good but it sucks that we have to wait to see how this turns out. To bad I don't have the remote from "Click" to just fast forward.

Hindsight will be 20/20, but we will never know what would have happened under different circumstances.

But with a decision like this, it seems that our only responce should be to support our governing authorities, but almost more importantly, our brothers who fight, support them in our thoughts, actions, and prayers.

I like what he was saying about holding Iran and Syria accountable. I wonder how far they will take this, seeing as it's started already....

http://corner.nationalreview.com/pos...I5M2I5NzQ1MGQ=

Also, liked what I read about the new commander and his direction....

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...541457,00.html

One thing is for sure, it's gonna be history in the making.

This is like a cheating spouse. they lie and cheat. You give them just one more chance and it happens again.

We were policing a population of about 26 million with 140,000. Adding another 20,000 is like adding 1 more cop to the detroit police department and expecting a difference.

Yes I have, and your pessimistic view isn't lost on me. I guess I'm just not ready to give up on our troops succeeding.

So are you suggesting we need more troops or that we give up on Detroit?

There is no hope for Detroit. But that was just an example. But I feel it was a good example. We dont have enough troops to make a difference in Iraq. And now were going to have to deal with Iran?

As a Veteran myself I am pro Military that is why it is so hard to make such posts. I have a Niece in Iraq, they do what they are told and a fine job of it. Unfortunately the leaders are not the best we have seen.

Bush is getting us ready for a conflict with Iran. So enjoy your lower gas prices while they last.
