Default Ted Nugent outspoken.......or just truthful?

I thought this was a pretty good all around article. No doubt he's a smart guy.

Nugent would be much more effective if he wasn't always turned up to 11.

You would never hear about Ted Nugent if he wasn't always turned up to 11.

I've always liked him and it was great when he had his morning show here in Detroit 20 years ago. Get him going on facts and it's very impressive.

Really? Do a little research on what he does for kids and veterans. He has spent his entire life in rock & roll free of drugs and alcohol. He is a strong 2A advocate who sits on the NRA board of directors. (in case you never heard, they're the biggest group trying to keep our guns from being confiscated)

For those that don't think he's very smart, you should sit down and listen to him some time. I'm not talking about when he gets rolling with his goofy words, I'm talking about the actual context of what he is saying.

And this is why I say he would be more effective if he dialed it back from 11, or 'Full Frontal Nugity', he would be far more effective. He'll make a very strong argument, and then completely negate it by saying things like someone can 'suck on his rifle'.

I've tried to listen to him, I find most of his stuff to be hyped up BS, I could care less if he's never done drugs, and yes he does work for veterans, if he really cared he wouldn't make such a big deal about it every chance he gets. I'm not saying he's a bad guy, although I think he is kind of fake.

I think he's actually a pretty talented guitar player (or at least was back in the day). Stranglehold will always be one of my favorite guitar based rock songs. However, he is a sub-par songwriter/lyricist and I think that held him back from being much more successful (I'm not saying he wasn't successful, just that he probably could have been much more so).

As far as his work with kids and veterans groups, that's all fine and good, and I applaud about 90% of his advocacy for conservation and land-use. However, the way he shoots his mouth off about politics and the 2nd Amendment probably does more harm to his cause and his image than good. These days, he just comes across as a bitter angry old man.

As much as I can't stand his politics, I still enjoy stranglehold, mainly for it's LACK of lyrics. ;)

As always, he is well spoken. IMO.

I can't stand his hunting show, when he gets on the "I am the beast master" rants.

Can't say I'd want him to be president or anything like that though.

More outspoken than wellspoken IMHO.

If he ever became President and did something a portion of the populace did not like, would he advocate shooting himself?
