Hi everyone,
This is my truck you all are referring too, I came from Clarkston Mi. In Co. for the last 25+ years.

They are getting a bit of a hassle to maintain, might do something with them soon.

Plenty more in Like condition.

Ya, the original link would've been cool, I feel I missed out
So, you've collected trucks in a barn sorta but don't live in michigan
anymore, you live in colorado? I'm in michigan so I wouldn't be able
to see or buy anything unless your in michigan. I just made this account
so I'm not savvy on this site yet but I like it. I had an 87 4RNR, looking
for anther. I did my head gasket, leaked exhaust, sold but would like
one in better condition. This yellowie cream toyota is awesome, two!
feel free to email me, i think i have an account here now!

Toyota fan or not, this is amazing!

They dont make them like they used to.
For good reason, those rusting piles of shit that didn't have enough power to get out of their own way are useless peices of shit, not to mention the "durable" and "ever lasting" 22re turd of a motor.

My 85 4Runner with 22RE is still going strong getting 22MPG. I've owned it for 8 years was a daily driver for over 5. I've never had to touch the motor. Show me any steel bodied 85 vehicle that has been driven thru MI winters that isn't rusted.

thats a great story, my 22re blew up at 125k, spun 2 rod bearings, camshaft lobes were completely warn down, truck had shit for power, came with full maintenance records from the previous owner. Did have a rust free california body on it though

Sounds like a couple of the valves might of been adjusted too tight wearing out the cam and the particles taking out the rod bearings. I've had 3 22RE vehicles with no motor issues. All were way past 125k. I did buy one with a rod thru the block @228k. How many 85 4 cyl engines even lasted 125k. I had a couple mid 80's rangers with the 2.0 one needed rings @ 50k. The other melted pistons @ 60k. The 2 s10's with iron pukes I had lasted 80-90k before the heads were cracked. These were all 2wd street driven trucks. My 85 4runner may be a slug but it will spin 33's with 4.56 gears and was able to hit 90+ on the last trip to the mounds. If I couldn't go somewhere it wasn't because of the motor. The 22re's I've had in reg cab P'ups ran a bit better but gas mileage was not as good.

wow, old post.
I have a few trucks in my collection that I am considering selling.
-1983 Toyota 4x4 SR5 with 95K miles, original paint and decals, interior is like new with no dash cracks or seat rips/stains. Red Color, runs perfectly.
- 1987 Toyota reg cab 4x4 with 22RTE turbo motor 5sp with 95K miles, like new truck with original paint, runs perfectly with a/c and power steer.
Price ? I have no idea at this time, typically put them on eBay as live auction, best for these vintage low mile trucks. Any interest, we can talk.
