Default Cargo netting rear of tj for dog retainment?

Hey guys
Got a tj and looking to get a cargo net cage for the rear part of it to help keep the dogs inside. The only one i can find is dirtydog4x4 makes one. Anyone have any experience with them or have any other recommendations?

I can guarantee that is a very good one. My club prez has a ferocious dog that ate through his standard cargo netting and ate children.

Smittybilt does make one but you have to put in on and off to put the soft top up

I used to use one of those bungee type truck bed nets. The ones that kind of look like a spider web that stretch across a truck bed. They have hooks all along the sides, so i would just wrap it around the roll bar and hook it. Done. The one I had even came wth a storage bag so I could just throw it in the back of the Jeep until I needed it. WAY WAY cheaper alternative to those custom made cargo nets and did the charm just fine. Of course, my lab is not the most active either.

I just used 3 black 1in ratchet straps to retain my 2 huskies, i am sure if they really wanted to break free they could, but worked just fine for me, could never justify the money for those fancy nets. MY main concern was them jumping out while stopped at a light or something.

My new truck came with a cargo net and this was what I plan to do.

I don't have a jeep but in my car I use one of the things that buckle into the seat belt location. Keeps the dog from moving around a lot and wont allow them to jump out the window.

It's because they were black wasn't it? They scared the dogs too much so they stayed in the Jeep.

Default Safari Straps

I have Safari Straps on my TJ, I am happy with them. Leave them on when I put the soft top back on.
