How about a 393?
stroker crank, 351W rods with an off the shelf 302 piston? I had one with just some E7TE heads with port cleanup, made just over 325@ the rear tires, and a boat load of torque too.
Crank was under $350, refurbished my rods and bought a set of CHP pistons.
total I was into it about $2400 carb to pan

Just build a dang 466. You can make 400hp with a 460 without much work at all. Toss some gears in the truck in the mid 3's and you will not need overdrive.
Watch Craigslist. 460's come across there all the time. Like this one for instance;
