Default Reliability of the G80 Locker

I want to hear your thoughts and concerns on the G80 locker. I've been playing around with the idea of putting one in when I swap the gears. I've heard mixed things about it. I guess they call it the GOV-Bomb. The will be used as a recreational/weekend driver, occasional two tracking, and some weekends at Silver Lake Sand Dunes here in Michigan.

Here's my build:
Built up 350 SB appx 340hp
TH350 with shift kit
3.73 Gears with possible G80 Locker
31" Tires

No
They blow up in stock street driven applications
But if you want a 10 bolt one I could get one

I have one in both my 1500 and 2500 plow/landscape trucks, both have around 200k and they both still work great. the one in my 2500 has stuck a couple times but putting it in reverse has always opened it up.

this.

the one in my aam 11.5 works just fine, but the one that was in my 10 bolt (stock axle when I bought the s10) was garbage. never worked right and finally quit completely.

surprised the one in my d-max is holding up given the power it makes, but maybe the sheer size of that unit makes it stronger?

I think it's more the 10 bolt ones that seem to grenade on people then the larger units
I've just seen enough on the interwebs to be scared of the 10 bolt variety
I have one in my 99 with 119k at it works fine but I probably won't keep it forever

The two I've had in my 14 bolts work sometimes, with a nice clunk. I'd much rather have a Detroit, at least it's consistent. If that's too aggressive id use a true trac.
