So when did it happen? After the 8.8 swap or lift? Are the arms on both sides the same length, both upper and lower. I see they are adjustable..... is the axle centered in the jeep? Did you put in an adjustable rear track bar after the lift or axle swap?

I think you need to raise the pinion. Should point to CV Joint.

Pics 1 and 2 should be same angle I think.

I have a similar issue, Had the 8.8 behind a 6.0/4l65e/np231/sye/CCI shaft with stock D35 brackets welded on it, axle was not centered, and driveshaft was at less of an angle side to side.

I put on the Artec kit, which centered the axle more, and now it vibrates. The pinion offset is what started it.

The lift and the 8.8 swap went in at same time, SYE & CV shaft followed. arms are not adjusted the same, to square the Rr axle to the Frt we had to make the passenger side a few turns shorter. just did this today. dropped pin. angle today 5 degrees and it got way worse so went back up a few turns at a time and got it about straight and the VIB is back where it was before. The shop seems to think it's the slop in the gears or back lash, you can turn the pinion a lot before left to right before the gears catch. They think it might be floating in there a bit??

and thanks for all the input, getting tired of chasing this terd.

Your rear arms should be the same length.... both lowers need to match in over all length, as the lower arm length is adjusted keep the wheel centered in the wheel-well, and then adjust the upper arm length to set pinion angle. Your rear track bar length is adjusted to center the axle in the jeep. This is why you are getting vibes!

Did they check the back lash or are they also guessing? Did they pull the cover? You will find if you turn the pinion it takes a second for the tires to move . That is normally in the spider gears. I would definetly start by making the lowers the same length and lining the pinion up with the driveshaft.
Maybe you can bring it out next week and we can throw it on the hoist

FWIW a 8.8 gives you 1.5" of lift over stock. If you are running 3" springs in the rear, you now have 4.5" total. Your rear lower arms should be 14.25" long. I have a 5.3LS in my TJ and am running 4.5" lift arms. I have 4" lift spring in the front and 3" in the rear. The weight of the LS has my jeep sitting almost 1" lower in the front.

The rear arms we're the same length and it still vibrated. We change those because I squared up the rear axel to the front axle with a tape measure, tube to tube left and right side. I believe the stock lowers are 15 3/4. When you lift it the new one should be a little longer.

I had a vibration after doing a SYE and driveshaft. The yoke on the output shaft that came with the SYE was machined a little off center. Good luck.
