You can draw from concealment in USPSA if you like. Less rules, so it is what you make of it.

I know guys who run their carry rigs AIWB concealed, using cover in USPSA...

I took their March class! I also went to their IDPA match earlier this month and am signed up for next months match. I finished mid pack just getting a feel for it. My main goal was not to be DQ or receive any procedural penalties both of which goals I accomplished. Now, it is time to speed everything up. I chose IDPA since it has the least amount rounds and more local matches around me.

I think IDPA is a good place to get started in competitive shooting, just don't get too hung up on the rules or procedurals. Take the procedurals where they lay, and more on to the next stage.

Once you are comfortable, try some other games and see what you like best. I like IDPA for letting me shoot from vehicles, and some of the more practical stage props, and I like USPSA for testing my shooting skill.

Busy morning at the ranch. Gotta test a few tonight then load up a couple hundred more for USPSA on Saturday.

@Easy_E, about 500rds into the blue bullets. No issues in any gun, except my M&P Pro 9mm. For some reason the ogive on these bullets might be too fat, and the rounds want to catch the rifling when chambered. I started at 1.140" and I've backed them all the way down to 1.120" and they are 50/50 now.
The M&P's are known for having short chambers, so I may switch to a different bullet for that gun.

T
My G17 eats them like crazy. Doesn't seem to leave anything in the barrel but powder residue.

Thanks for the feedback I will have to try them . I've shot the Bear creek moly coated and they shoot good but the moly pours out the porting on my Springfield . If this works with the porting I will have a cheaper bullet to shoot again.

I bet SS is having a hard time not posting a comment about the $120 gun with a $150 stock, and $100 wort of ammo for $600.

But it looks cool! Who cares if it's a shoddy $99 rifle at its core!

Don't get me wrong, I own one myself. I chopped the thing up and turned it into a hunting rifle, but I did so knowing it was going to shoot maybe 2 MOA. It turns out it shoots a little bit better than I was expecting.

But $600? No. Never. If I ever tried to sell mine without the scope I put on it, I could still never bring myself to ask for more than $100 for this... club of a rifle.

So I just looked up that stock.

We've got:
$100 rifle
$200 stock
$20 magazine
$200 in ammo

All for the low price of $600? Did I miss anything?

Doesn't everyone own a Mosin? I've got no problem with them, as long as people recognize that their $100 rifle is a $100 rifle.

No you didn't.

I had one with a bent bolt conversion-(a welded on bolt, not the cheesy screwed on pos) a weaver rail and simmons hunter mil dot. I was lucky to get 250 for it

SS would be all over it; but I think he has run out of Get-out-of-jail free un-ban cards.
