Default A Heads-up if your replacing your cracked Windshield and looking for a deal.

I have a 2003 wrangler that had a cracked wind shield. I think its a given that most jeeps are born with one cracked. I started making phone calls to find the best deal and came to the conclusion that all prices are jacked like most of everything else, all except this guy. Mr. Windshield
American auto glass wanted $231. plus an additional $75 if the area needs to be prepped because of rust issues.
Henderson's auto glass was cheaper $221. Also would have to add $75. if rusted area's
There was a third business that wanted $275. Cant remember for the life of me, the name of the place.
Then there's Mr. Windshield . And just to say I don't know this guy and didn't play anyones prices to get him to drop his price. I told him what year jeep I had and he quoted me a price of about $160. My thoughts were, was this over the counter cost? NOPE! That was the installed price. When I payed at the counter the Bill was for $142.** "My New best friend"
I didn't know where to post this other than the pub. Yes they do make house calls as far as I know. Short cut to their web site. Good luck to everyone looking for a deal/ windshield replacement. Click on the link below.

The last 3 times ive had my windsheilds replaced here in Auburn Hills/ Oakland county the price has been over $200. plus and that was with State Farm and a jacked deductible.
Wish I had found this guy a long time ago. Seems every jeep I pick up to flip or keep has a cracked windshield.

I had Mr Windshield replace my last one in the Comanche. $147 out the door. Horrible horrible customer service though. My appointment was at 10am, nobody was there when I got there, the first worker showed up at 10:20 and said he was too hung over from drinking too much last night. The manager showed up about 11:30 and started arguing with people for being late. (I'd rather them fix my windshield then argue) I think it took about 3.5 hours to get my windshield replaced, they broke most of the clips that hold the windshield trim on and bent the trim trying to get it installed on broken clips. He put a handful of clips in my cupholder and said I can fix it myself.

I had my windshield on my CJ5 for $95 at Daves Glass Caro MI and he had to make a pattern or it would have $85 installed.

I've had 3 windshields done by Simbol on M59 in Waterford, I paid $150 for each, 1 I took to him, the other 2 he did in my driveway.

http://www.simbolautoglass.com/index.php/waterford

they have several locations around metro Detroit.
