Default NP 231 Electric switch

Has anyone retrofitted their NP231 with the electric switch which mounts to the back (or maybe it's the front, been a while) of the T-Case? On some models it's a vacuum switch, on others it's electric, on mine it's covered over and not present. I would like to add the electric switch to my T-Case but not sure how it works or when it is "ON" or "OFF". It looks like a simple push button switch which keys off the shift fork shaft. What I would like to do is install an electric version and relay it to power the switches for my lockers. My hope is that it's a simple ON/OFF (Normally Open/Close) switch and not some fancy variable resistance switch designed to feed back into the ECM. I would like to add it as a safety such that I can only engage the lockers in four low so if I forget to turn them off when leaving the parking lot or my interior switch gets tripped accidentally while normal driving that I don't find out the hard way and the T-Case switch keeps them de-powered when i shouldn't be using them.

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

sounds like you're over complicating this.

put a switch on the tcase lever, use that switch as a ground to engage you're e lockers.
pull jeep out of 4x4, you lose power to your elockers. (assuming e lockers require constant power to keep them locked in)

Switch on the transfer case makes perfect sense
