Default It's EASTER!

And Christmas, and Good Friday and so on.....

I am far from religious, and this political correctness bandwagon of scrubbing Christianity from holidays pisses ME off, so I can imagine how angry it makes Christians....

I know- turn the other cheek and all, but that could also be expressed as a dare.

'Spring Day'- bullshit. First day of spring was a month ago.

And a Happy and Blessed Easter to everybody.
Jesus has Risen and that is what we need to be thankful for, not bunnies and eggs.

When Jefferson said about the separation of church and state he meant OF religion not FROM religion.

Exactly.

We have the freedom to worship as we wish, or not at all.

I have no right to determine what another's beliefs should be. A religious holiday is exactly that- if it is not your religion, then don't celebrate it.

I don't give a crap what people call their holidays. I haven't heard anybody call it "spring day". Anybody who would hear that and get offended needs to get a life, though.

Sometimes I do appreciate Christianity, though, like, last Friday. I had the day off because of it. Thanks Jesus

If it was just a group of people wanting to celebrate Spring Day, or Festivus, or Chrismahanukkwanzaakuh, I wouldn't care either. It's the people who claim that the traditional holiday names are 'offensive' that bother me.

Then why do many churches host Easter egg hunts?

Because most Christian churches can blend the seriousness of Christ along with the fun of some traditions.
