3.7 high school, 3.2 KU.

If I can do it in 4.5 years, most people that want to be an engineer should be able to do it.

Both of the off road clubs at KU have big titties. You've seen one pair if you were a subscriber on here.
Hooray for boobies!!!

I chose to slack in high school because I figured out what I had to do to receive the results I wanted. Now that I am at Kettering I have had to change my study habits from riding quads and hanging out to cracking open books.

Wait, you buy textbooks?

After my freshman year, I maybe bought one book a quarter... and sold it back each time... a few times for profit even!

I should have shared my pdf's to more people. I actually printed some off in the labs, entire textbooks. I'm serious.

I know a few pdf printed texts books floating around the house. The Hougen lab and the Math lab are my prefered text printing places.

My brother started at Kettering in the fall for chemical engineering. He got a co-op job at a plastic manufacturing company. He said he likes the school so far, but that it is definitely a lot of work.

"IF" you can find an employer who wants to take the time to train you, but you likely can't, which is why you need college. So, there's that.

employers are shitty educators if they have to start with nothing. You atleast need a base to start with. The best thing you can get out of college is learning time management and teaching yourself how to teach yourself. You will use both of those everyday for the rest of your carreer.

I'm actually pissed that I sold off some of the books I did. I use the ones I have quite regularly

The smartest person I know did not go to college. The wealthiest person I know did not go to college. College is a money grabbing bullshit scam. It would take a whole shake up of our work force to get rid of college. The only reason employers are shitty educators is because the morons they employ, who in turn think they are the best in the business.

Should have said...that's all we hire now (at entry level). We hire a lot of experienced engineers with various backgrounds and used to hire entry level from other places.

I've been here a long time and seen a lot of turn over.

Translation: I didn't go to college and want to make myself feel better about my limited opportunities, so I'm gonna badmouth it and hope everyone believes me.

Note: I have nothing against those who don't go to college and choose to work instead. It's admirable and has proven successful for countless people. I simply have a problem with ignorance and overly opinionated arrogant douches.

Translation, I did go to college, I did well in college, I'm not fooled into believing that college is the answer and consider it the biggest fucking scam on the planet that society has deemed people can't live without. The truth whether you choose to ignore it or not is college has become about money, not education. Given your limited reply I understand you are flummoxed by the very notion.

College is needed for certain things but not a given requirement for success. I'm a believer that certain technical careers require a higher education. "some" engineering, medical field, a variety of number crunching degrees, etc. On the other hand, there are a lot of very successful people who don't have a degree and have managed to make it both in technical and business fields.

One thing you can't teach is street smarts, communication skills and how to read people. I've worked with some super intelligent engineers who aren't worth a shit in front of customers and can't get along with anyone. Therefore, they will never advance.
