Default Die Hard Plat. vs Odyssey

I have a 2006 Chevy 2500HD Duramax that needs new batteries. The original Delcos lasted 9 years (assuming the truck came out in 05') so I think they had a good run.

Anyway, I am looking at Odysseys and Die Hard Platinum's. I really like the reputation that Odyssey has for its batteries, but my parents have only ever bought Die Hards and my dad just replaced his battery in his 94 Chevy Silverado after 14 years!

From doing a little digging, it appears that the Die Hard Platinums are just a Sears branded Odyssey. I like that considering the price is about $115 less per battery (I need two).

So who runs the Die Hard Platinums? I've read reviews from 2012 about these batteries and have read pretty much the same thing. They are great batteries. Now, I've read some recent reviews on them (from 2014) and haven't really read anything very positive. So I'm hoping some of you can share some insight on these.

Thanks

I have two. One in my buggy that replaced a previous dual set up and one in my of 06 ram with a plow. Happy with both set ups. Befor plowing with a brand new interstate battery I would always get a low battery light. Not a problem anymore.

There was a Die Hard in my 96 when I bought it, it was 8 years old when I changed it and I only changed it out because I went to a bigger CCA. It is currently being used on my 4-wheeler. It has been there for the past 3 years and still works perfectly. Granted I have it on the a trickle charger when not in use

Glad to know the Die Hard Platinums are good batteries. Shit I just found AC Delcos that are the same specs as the Die Hards I was going to buy, but have a 7yr free replacement and are only $75. As much as I would like to have the Die Hards, I think the Delcos won.
