What do your traps look like? I was thinking of making some sort of slats they would have to bump into to make them fall off.

I have 2 kinds....one is simple chicken wire and posts (i have 2 of those on the property), just google antler trap and you'll find tons of styles, the other is a commercial trap that my father in law bought me a bunch of years back. http://www.racktrap.com/

Can't take all the credit. Dog found the big one. It was along the Betsie river. Dried up pretty good but not much rodent chew marks on it.

That's the problem I have. The only one I found last year was just the crown. Chewed down to nothing really. It's been pretty hard to find them the last few years

I'll be back out as soon as some of the snow melts. It's way too deep right now. I don't even feel like going back to check the traps.

What do you want them for? I have dozens in my woods. Probably have 6-8 with skulls still attached.

Why would you have dozens of them in the woods?

I have a lot of deer on my property. There are 11 that stay by the house and another 60-70 that pass through the back part of the property daily. It's a nice place to hang out and I suspect they know I hunt 2-legged animals.

The property is heavily hunted by birds of prey so that keeps most small rodents away and the coyotes take care of the larger ones. I saw my first rabbit in 3 years this spring and haven't seen it since. I basically have deer, bobcat, coyote, and tree rat (squirrel). I'm not sure what keeps eating the skunks, woodchucks, and raccoons. I suspect it's the coyotes. I have one known opossum left.

I started piling old antlers up at the property corners a while back.

I have lots of whole deer skeletons also.
