Default Semi auto 12ga suggestions

Going to start looking up shotguns for the wife. She really likes my mossberg 500 other than its a pump. So was thinking a mossberg 930 might fit her well. Any suggestions?

I've been considering a Mossberg semi auto as well. I'm looking at the 935 Duck Commander. Mossberg makes a nice gun. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

I wouldn't want the tru glo. I had the magnet attachment on my 1300 for a while, didn't like it. I guess it depends on how large the dot is, that was my main problem.

I got my wife an 11-87 sporting clay model. she likes it... but we have yet to go shooting

You're not supposed to be looking at the bead when you're wingshooting anyway. The only time I use the bead on my shotgun is turkey hunting

when there's a dot that's blocking out a good chunk of your vision, it's hard not to notice.

Get a 930 with a muzzle break for her and she will love it...

What's going to be the main use for the gun? Does she shoot 2 3/4, 3 or 3 1/2 inch shells? Do you want something light or can she handle a little bit heavier of a gun? I would go to a gun shop and have her shoulder a few different ones and find one that is comfortable and fits all your needs

^^^^this^^^^ I have an Remington Magnum duck gun that I cannot use because it will not shoot magnum steel shot and rack an empty out and a new one in. I need to buy a new barrel or leave it on the rack...

Benelli. Period.

Absolutely reliable and inertia action utterly defeats gas actions for real-world use.

Nicely softened recoil as well.

X2. Even their low end model is much nicer and more reliable than most of the others out there.

Or how about a poor man's Benelli: Stoeger Model 3000. M3000 is 12 gauge for 3" shells and available in black or camo in 24, 26, and 28" barrels. Street price is around $500-550. Made in Turkey and uses the same inertia action of the Benelli's. Stoeger and Benelli are both owned by Beretta.

Not sure if it was only related to his or the same with other of the same model. His kicked like an absolute bitch, and likes to have cycling problems iirc. His old man bought it on an impulse buy, and he hated it until the day he passed away.
