Why a 41 over a 21?

I'm still unsure how i feel about the 41. Thing's a fucking monster!

I went with the Blackhawk SERPA CQC.

Why?

The CQC is military issue (SS correct me if I'm wrong) and it's made with different polymers so it's much stronger over the regular SERPA holster. It included both the paddle and the belt mount. I didn't need a duty holster like the level 2's. After playing around the the Blackhawk retention holsters for a few months, I am really happy I made the purchase. I love Ebay. I got it for $37. The regular BH Sportster was $40 at a local dealer, and that was with just the paddle mount, no belt mount. I would much rather have the belt mount, but maybe I'll end up liking the paddle too. Doubtful though.

I will be sure to report back after a few weeks of use and let you know how I like it.

I figured you were going that way. The paddle is nicer for taking the holster on and off but you loose that security that you get when laced on to your belt. Walking in the woods I would use the paddle but quad or motorcycle carry the belt strap would be better.
Please let us know your thoughts I was looking at them and may go this way too.

That's why I was steering away from the paddle because of the loss of security. Maybe it's not as bad as I think, but for piece of mind, I'm sure I will use the belt mount 95% of the time.

Sounds like they could've used some better alert systems, they woke up with the bad dudes already in the bedroom.

Dogs are the best alarm system you can have.
Pair that with a few cameras and bad guy is bleeding before he even knows someone other than the dog is in the house.

You should try out my old school duty rig with my Colt Trooper Mk III .357 Mag. Shit is comfortable as all hell even when sitting down.

Our dog gets up for noises now. If she ever stops I will tie the door knobs to the fridge door. If that door opens gettout of the way she comes running.
