I think my S&W Shield has a date with my soldering iron this week.

Anyone know of a gun shop in SE Michigan that carries a broad selection of duty holsters/gear? Looking for a low/mid ride basketweave pattern Beretta M9 holster and mag carrier and would definitely prefer to look at it before I buy it.

Also... I'm thinking about expanding into the world of .45. Either a HK USP .45 full size or a Glock 41.

I love my Glock 36. It's not full size, but still behaves well. The 41 is probably a beast.

I thought about trying out a Springfield Range Officer but I'm just not a fan of the 1911 platform. I tried and I really WANT to like them but I just don't see the point in dishing out that kind of money for a very complicated, limited capacity pistol when something like the Glock 41 can be had for half the price and do everything the 1911 does but better. Aside from looks and probably ergonomics

What would your purpose be for a full size .45? I do like the 1911s, especially with a little customization. The Glocks all look the same, but it's a look I like. I don't have a full size .45, but if I did it would be for home defence. Too big to carry in my line of work.

Home defense/open carry use. Mainly a night stand gun and for out in the woods.

A good friend of mine has a hk45c and it's pretty sweet. Shoots very nice, great trigger. Replacement mags are pricy though.
