No way a d60 front is only 35# more than a 44.

I'm not arguing the weight of the D60. I'm saying the delta from a D44 is greater.

Just a quick math, assuming 60" of axle shaft = 7# difference.
Assuming 3.5 OD x 1/2"w x 50" of axle tube versus 3" x 3/8"w = 22# difference. That's 29 pounds without even considering the cast dif housing, carrier, rotors, spindles, etc.

I know my lengths may be off but it's a reference.

it's definitely more. moving around my d44 (years ago) was quite easy by myself. took 2 of us to pick up a d60 and walk the length of my side yard.

the 1tons that I am currently running weighed right around 1000# when they shipped from FL on a pallet
