Winch Electrical prob;em (the main power cable)

I made a winch power cable using 2 gauge wire 3 months ago. I soldered the connections and crimped them. Here it is 3 months later and the connections have completely corroded off. they are not in the elements either... WTF is going on?

Copper wire, copper connectors.

i wouldn't bother to solder. crimp it well (you can use a punch/vise and angle iron for a base) and it's not going anywhere.

I use one like this for car stereo, used it on 8 through 0 gauge and it works beautifully.
