I try my best to make sure the people have the tools they need to be on time. You were sent an itenerary by email and I post the times for everything outside of the registration room. Id be more than happy to implement tertiary measure so that you can be on time for registration. If anyone would like a wake up call, we can arrange that as well.

60-70 vehicles.
200+ attendees.
Trail runs.
Awards.
Clothing.
Handouts.
Runs going out Friday, Friday night, Saturday.
A banquet bigger than many weddings.

Everyone happy except for One person pissed because they couldn't sign up for the run they wanted?

I was with sofo last night when they were reading the comment cards. Yes, they read them immediately after the banquet. They work for days in advance and days after to make it a great event.

Time to let it go. She owes no one a phone call.

Moving forward with Oakland county on an ORV park. Things are in the legal stages & once we are through that we will schedule a couple special events this year. Then it moves to land acquisitions & hopefully a full fledged park in the next few years.

It's a very slow process......

I want to say thanks to my "tan" group. We had a series of problems, ending with a dead transmission in the largest vehicle in our group deep in the woods. While part of the group was busy earning the "SoGyver" award the rest continued to blindly follow my vertically challenged Jeep into 2+' drifts. Thanks especially to Eric my tail gunner for getting the back half group back safe and sound.

Thought the rig limit was 60? So next year if I want to go I can just show up and ride? What was so special about the extra 10 rigs, and I thought the limit was for the permits?

And if it said reg starts at 900 and actually started at 830 thats kinda shitty...

Im sure there was a lot of hard work put into this but it also sounds like it is run by a clique of friends who are above the rules anf do whatever they want putting fairness aside...

I do not know anyone involved with putting this event on.

Registration time was always 8:30. He is wrong and that picture proves it.

60 Applicants plus sponsors, trail guides, sweeps etc.

If you show up and just "tag along" it's not going to happen. You will be removed from the area one way or another.

60 registered applicants....the trail guides and their sweeps, and the sponsored vendors rigs are not included in the 60.

Registration for Saturdays trail rides starts at 8:30. It clearly stated in the mass email that is sent out prior to the event as well as if you look a few posts up at the paper board outside the registration room, it clearly states 8:30. That sign is outside the room Friday.

With registration, people start waiting in the hall at 8. When the doors open at 8:30 the room is instantly filled. Within 10-15 minutes, I venture to say 90% of the 60 registrants have signed up for their guided trails. With only 10-12 per guided run, certain runs fill up fast. Which is why the wait starts early and fills the hall prior to 8:30.

This was my 3rd year going and I'm pretty sure that sign up is always at 8:30. The big board is up for everyone to look at.. The extra 10 rigs I'm pretty sure are the trail guides and sweeps (?) The people that put this event on are an amazing group of people and work very hard to make it what it is.. Its a great time with great people. I'm sorry that one person has tried to ruin all that goes into this event and make it sound so bad.. But I'm sure everyone that is involved or has been in the past knows how much fun it is and will continue to support the SoFo crew.. great job!!!

Below is a pic of the itinerary that gets clearly posted in the hotel at least a day in advance. 8:30 is clear as day.

Over 60 is with workers figured in. There are 10 spots on the sign up sheet for each run, plus a leader & sweep = 12 per run x 6 = 72

These are the FACTS so there's no reason for anyone to go all sour grapes on a very hard working club that puts on an awesome event!

Further, I'm not a member of SoFO, just a guy that knows the area so I volunteer to lead a run. And I still pay to go, no free ride here.

Nice ignorant post.

Registration was at 830 - it was in the email.

60 rigs is participants. Trail leaders /sweeps and sponsors don't count towards that limit.

This event is the best run event I've participated in and all (well apparently only 99%) absolutely enjoy it. That's why it now fills up on the very first day of registration.

Thanks to SoFo for putting on another great event this year. :rock;
