That would be too simple, Hancho. I have longer-term plans for which the DRW rear axle will be useful.

Would getting rid of the oddball metric pattern and going to 8x6.5 help with the wheel search at all? Bj re drilled my 99-04 60 to 8x6.5 and it wasn't very expensive.

Try ArrowCraft Products (248-280-0210) in royal oak Mi. They make the adapters for dually wheel swaps. And stock dodge dually wheels are 17's.

Thanks guys. I'll keep these ideas in mind. I found out, too, that the center bore on the wheels varied between the '99(ish) years, and '05. I'll have to see if the '05 hubs (which are larger) turned down slightly. Once I get the axle in-hand, I'll give it more consideration/thought.

Here's my "new" 2005 Ford F350 141"-wheelbase Cab & Chassis frame. I coerced my girls into heading to Clare, MI to pick it up by offering to buy them lunch at "Cops & Doughnuts" in Clare (they're suckers for sugar). I also drove them (briefly) through Mt. Pleasant, where I went to college.

Here's the muscle of my Jeep rebuilding operation...my fiancee, Amy, and my daughter, Mira.

And here's the frame all nestled into it's longer-term home. I'll have to build custom cab mounts for the FC cab, custom motor mounts, and a custom mounting solution for the oddball cab-over steering box. Suspension & axles will be stock F350 items.

Now you can trip over something that don't move. Hopefully you have the coil spring frame mounts because they aren't there. Now the madness can really start.

Aren't you Negative Nellie today, Jeff. Which mounts are you referring to? The coil buckets/shock brackets are there (but a couple of the factory rivets are sheared, and they'll all be replaced with Grade 8 bolts), and the torsion bar mounts are also there. Elaborate, my man.

Craig

P.S. - The FC170 doesn't move, either...brakes are frozen up.

What do you see here? I see replacement cab corners & sheet metal for my FC cab. Big thanks to my buddy Kyle for the scrap FC170 roof. The profile of the corners should work pretty well for the lower body corners. I traded an XJ 242 transfer case for a bunch of misc. parts...some sheet metal (including some floor pan sections coming soon) that I'll use to patch my FC cab, a better set of seats, and some small parts I was missing.

Thanks Caleb.

The parts gathering continues...

Thanks to my friend Kyle for letting me take a bunch more donor sheet metal from a scrap FC170 body of his. This will make repairing mine much easier (relatively speaking). The upper cab corners will eventually become new lower corners for mine, and the stampings in the floor panels will allow me to repair mine with a factory-like look.

I'm also heading to the Detroit area next weekend to pick up the suspension and front axle from a donor 2005 F350 that had 105K miles on it when it was hit in the rear. More to come after that trip.

Hopefully the radius arms are there and the bolts for them.
