Thanks for helping out a Mother in need( she sent a letter)
I was helped out 6 years ago buy a bunch of people on greatlakes4x4.com and we are forever thankful for what that site did for my family 6 years ago. I have made a mission the past 4 years to help out a family in need and my wife works with a single woman with 2 kids and there dad (if you want to call him that) hasn't paid child support in over 2 years. The mom has been struggling just to keep the lights on and a roof over there head.
So I was selling a brand new aquarium set and had it in the for sale section and I have been contacted my many members Both here and on Gl4x4 asking if they could just make a donation.
I have been overwhelmed at the support I have been getting to helping this single Mother and her two kids.
There are always people that think its a scam or this or that, but I have offered to put my address, phone number, and my Wife place of employment to prove that its all going to the mother.
A old friend of mine dropped off gifts last Saturday and my wife took them in to work along with what I have collected so far and gave it to the mom and she cried for 20 min(per my wife) and couldn't believe that total strangers would help her out
I am doing this to show her that there are people out there who still care.
Her ex husband hasn't paid child support in two years and they are going to court this week and he called last week and told her, that he will ask his employer to lay him off
SO thank you you to the ones who have helped out and be rest assured, her and her two children are grateful and I cant thank you guys enough Here and on the Other site
Here is the email My wife got this morning
I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am for you, your family, and your friends for taking on me and my children this Christmas. You were right, I cried (ask Moe, he witnessed), just like I did while I was wrapping presents yesterday. Not because Iím sad, but because I have never been shown such kindness, let alone from someone who not so long ago was a complete stranger. Franny, Jonny and I are truly blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you so much for everything, Kim. Thank you. Iím not coming over there in person because Iíll cry again.

That's awesome! We adopt a family every year at work, we save all the money from returnables we pickup or drink and each of us throw money in as well. My wife and I go buy the presents and do the wrapping, then a couple of us deliver to the family. Makes you feel good to help out someone in need.
