Yes- Heads flowed AWESOME!!!! 305 on the intake and 188 on the exhaust. They will support north of 600HP. Just need a little more machine work done to clear the new valve seals and they can be assembled for the last time and bolted on.
I need to do a little more porting on the intake before we bolt it down, but that should be done on Saturday.
Once the motor is buttoned-up. we are going to bag it up and go through the tranny 1 more time. It needs a little more valve body work and I want to add another clutch per gear and then it all goes back together.

That will just leave some light fab work: a couple light-weight bumpers. cage, get the seats mounted, and new gages/IC plate.

I'm seriously considering bailing on the Schuch Mtn Hill Climb until I get some more seat time and tuning time in. I would hate to have it get away from me and put it on it's lid 1st time out.....

Update. Definitely not going to make Schuss Mtn. After all of the assembly on the motor a month ago, we found out that I had maxed the valve springs. Cha-Ching! there's another $100 set of head gaskets in the garbage.

Anyways- new springs finally made it in and I got them together today and bolted on.

I also added some serious upgrades to the tranny. This thing should hold the new powerplant pretty well this time. I added a bunch more clutches, new servo, updated shift kit, servo lever, and some additional valve body work.



The motor is sporting a fresh coat of paint as well. After all the goodies it should be a pretty good runner this year.

Actually it's International red. And it's bright! Same color as my suspension.

I don't know if that style compressor would work... New springs are 260 on the seat and close to 1000 at full compression. I know that I would have folded mine.

That's it! Last piece of this big jigsaw puzzle is here and installed.



Covers and oil pan are installed. It's done!

I shaved a steel spacer for 1 of the drums in the tranny last night for a little extra clearance since I installed a coupe extra steels and friction. I just need to slap that back together and it all can go back in. Current plans are to install them later this week and button up the new dash next weekend.

The fire-up isn't too far away.
