According to the story I heard they have already established that the Brown Tree snakes will eat the dead mice.

Maybe. I don't know anyone with brown tree snakes. But a friend of mine who had boas and pythons tried feeding them dead mice and he said it was like the mice didn't exist. The first time he had to remove the mouse because it started to stink. Next time he kept an eye on it and the snakes would crawl over it but pay it no attention.

Spoiled snakes. If they get hungry enough they will eat it but some snakes can go quite a while without eating.

I think it's the lack on movement that is the problem. That's probably why they gave the mice little parachutes that would end up hanging from a tree branch so they would swing in the breeze so there would be motion.
