Default 2-3 year old Female Pit Bull Rescue (possibly mixed)

First off lets keep this post serious please. I understand some here have issues with Pits, I am not here to get into those arguments/discussions.

I am honestly looking for a home for this girl. On December 5th I was picking my brother up from the airport and found what at first I thought to be a dead dog in the middle of the freeway in downtown Detroit. It ended up being a female pit that had been thrown from a car. She had abrasions all over her body, and I took her to the vet where we found she has no broken bones, and no worms or diseases.

For the last three days she has been living with me, and recovering quickly. She lost part of the end of her tail, but for the most part is in great shape and very lively. She has been great with most people and kids. She has not been good with other animals, she tries to attack smaller ones and is deathly afraid of bigger ones. She is about 40 lbs, and according to the vet, approximately 20 lbs underweight.

She is housebroken, playful, and loves walks.

I have two cats, and also travel frequently, so I need to find her a permanent home.

I will not be taking her to a shelter or rescue. She can stay with me until a new home is found, preferably one where she will be the only animal for the time being.

I am going to be picky as to where she goes, and this is for her good, not to offend anyone. I will not give her to someone who has no yard, and I would prefer someone who has some decent land because she loves to run. I will most likely require a home visit before adoption, and final say is on me.

If you are interested please call/text 810-614-8038

Also, here is a Facebook Group I created to help her find a home, with lots of pics and discussion daily as to her progress:

Wow.:) please pat yourself on your back for me.
A lot of people wouldn't have done this much for their own dog.
I would suggest a pit rescue or someone with experience with pit and/or abused dogs.
If she's not spayed could you make it part of the adoption/ rescue.
I feel like Bob Barker but, really are enough unwanted animals.

If she is around long enough she may get spayed. Otherwise I hope the new owner does that!

And Garden city, Romulus and Belleville. Many of my friends have these breed dogs. My wife's uncle who is 70 has a pit I rescued. He was fined and told the dog was illegal in Garden city. So he moved.

You may want to reach out to the Buster Foundation. They are a bully breed specifc rescue group specializing in pits and pit mixes. Both of my dogs came from there. Very good people. Now while they may not be able to take her due to their fosters being at capacity, they might be able to assist in other means...

They are located in Belleville...

You can also find them on FB.

Thanks for picking her up and helping her. I second getting ahold of the Buster foundation, especially if you are willing to foster her. They will help with getting her spayed and up to date on vaccines. They will also add her to their website.
I fostered a dog from them a couple years ago and have a friend that currently has a Buster foster and they are a great organization. Joanie is the woman who runs it.
