Default 6.0 head gasket replacement

I have a ford 6.0. Diesel blowing coolant. Can
anyone recomend a good shop for
headgasket replacement. Has anyone one
here just have it done, where, and how
much? Thanks.

There is also a guy in Marshall who does top notch work. He did my buddies 6.0 and did a great job.

Word of advice, if they dont pull the cab to do the heads then find another person. The labor will not be more to pull the cab, it actually takes less time. Also make sure they check the heads for being out of spec. If you havent done it already, do the EGR cooler delete while your in there, and replace the oil cooler.

Pulling the cab is easier. As barry1me stated, make sure the heads get checked for flat and cracks. I went though 21 used heads, all were cracked, then bought reman heads.

good info thanks. benefit to egr delete? other than no failure down the road? ive been doing some research on line and think i want to replace it with earlier round tube type

We chose mikes diesel performance to take
care of this. They are swapping the head
gaskets doing head stud conversion, and a
whole bunch of other upgrades this thing
needs. all for a price less than any Ford
dealer wanted. Thanks to whoever mentioned them.
