Default 1989 F150 not starting

i just bought this thing pretty much for the tires (it had brand new 35x12.5 15 mud tires on it that are for sale) but i got it home and it only runs off the rear tank right now and i ran it out of gas then put gas into it now i cant get it to fire. is the fuel pump bad? any tricks to see if its getting fuel?

also any info on this thing would be nice all i know is its a 5.slow 4x4 auto.. what kind of axles, trans, tcase does it have. the tcase didnt have a badge on it. and its got that weird independent front axle.

Make sure you have the switch flipped to the correct tank.

Rear axle is Ford 8.8
Front axle is TTB D44

Transfer case would be BW1356

Trans. could be C6, AOD, or E4OD. C6 is 3-speed and unlikely for a 5.0 truck. AOD was most common for '89. E4OD would have an electronic O/D OFF switch on dash.

TTB Front axle's are tricky things.. if the truck was beat with 35's, that TTB is probably begging for attention.
