Default bravada bump stop spacing?

Yes when me and her are in the back... (I know its coming)

BUT, also at higher speeds after big bumps it start wiggling kinda side to side rolling back and fourth. (not staying square). I guess its been doing it more and more. I just took it around at about 80 MPH and it wasnt to bad but definitely needs to be address'd.

I was thinking shocks, they were replaced two years ago or so, but were replaced with 20 dollar napa's. Tires are good year wranglers with about 60% tread left.

What you guys think? never had to fix an issue like this before. suspension doesnt feel loose. BUT.

OH....

99 bravada with 140k.

Did you actually check the suspension? These things eat ball joints and idler arms.

Give the front end a thorough inspection, and yes with these their is a right way to check it. Make sure to lift the front end on the lower control arms as close to the tire as possible. That way the suspension is loaded and not droop. If you let it droop at all it can hinder your ability to check the ball joints.

X2 on them eating ball joints. A friends truck did this also and it turned out to be shocks. The rear would sway back and forth like an improperly loaded trailer.

^ what he said. Also check the rear axle and rear leafs for any movement. I would guess your 20 dollar shocks also may need replacing.

Pay close attention to where the leaf spring wraps around the front bushing. They break where they wrap around.

Found this so far. And I don't see any problems or looseness in the rear with me shaking it as hard as I can. It looks solid. Shocks are probably bad.

Front end with truck on the ground and me shaking the hell out of looks pretty tight also. But I did happen across this. Think this could cause the swaying? It is a sway bar. Lol.

Damn. Looks like a fairly easy fix though? Weld it up?

Should there be more space between the bump stops and axle than this? Probably... new springs?

Lol. Ok.

It rides worse than my lifted xj. I'll probably do some suspension work to it over the holidays

Are all your tires round? Those wranglers are pretty notorious for not being the roundest..

You'd feel it pretty bad at low speeds, Probably still feel it at high speed, like a weird vibration.

Those are some of the worst riding vehicles. Put better shocks on it and run it til it dies.
