who manufactures that one? i like that it looks to have a little longer runners for better low end torque.

If it is a FAST I would save the money and get a used factory one. They have not proven to be much of a power adder until you start flowing some serious numbers. Unless you have the money to spend on a blingy intake.

Look forward to the rest of the build, oh an more pics please~

Why not LS6? Whats the purpose of ditching the truck intake for an LS2? Height?

Height is the main reason not as easy to break and just looks way better.I hate mine.it getting changed this winter. told Shawn to do it now so he can build a nice cage around the motor.have way more vision with the car.

good call.

I also went with the car intake due to height. will keep that and concentrate on getting the tune correctly dialed in and probably do some head work as well. (mine is an LQ4 for any reference needed)

How can you tell what motor you have lq4 or lq9?
All I know it's out of GMC 2500 2002 LS5.3

not sure if it's an RPO code that would listed with the vehicle, but I knew it was a 6.0l out of a 2500hd. the lq4 is usually in the 2500hd and the lq9 is usually in the escalade.

I'm sure there's a simple way to find out, but I'm not sure if there's markings on the motor to designate that. should be a sticker on one of the heads that you could run the # at a dealer.

you could use a borescope and see if the piston is flat top or dished (or pull a plug). or do you have the vin#?

that's all I got

not to bash your build so dont take this the wrong way because it looks to be put together well(much better then that silly jigler thing), but why dont you just put the seat in a upright position like it was meant to be instead of tying to bandaide a know problem?
