Default tubing cap for 2"x2" square tubing?

Building a rear swing out tire carrier and am looking for a tubing cap to put on the top because i'm tired of welding on pieces and having to grind my ass off to make it look right. Anyone have any suggestions that wont leak? This will be the cap that will face skywards while driving so I don't want to get an over abundance of water down in the tube.

dude, its a 2x2...how much grinding can it take?

if you make it 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" and grind an angle on the tubing, the weld wont appear to be running out of it, if thats your problem

more just a pain in the ass to smooth it all out before powder coating. Would rather just stick a plastic cap or something in it. Just curious to see if anyone has any advice on whether it's a good idea or not.

Lowes and depot has some plastic tubing caps of various sizes. Or you could order some through McMaster Carr.

I would cut one out of metal and weld it in. The plastic caps might not keep the water out.

Remember the difference between a maniac and crazy person? maniac will beat nine people to death with a steel dildo. A crazy person will beat nine people to death with a steel dildo, but he'll be wearing a bunny suit at the time...

I googled steel dildo. I looked for three minutes to find an actual steel dildo.

Mrslousypirate knows exactly what she got herself into. Never a dull moment for the rest of her life. And a life of rolling her eyes at me.

What are you using to grind the welds?

A flap disc should only take a few minutes to grind 2x2 welds to rounded and smooth.
