I have been unimpressed with amazon prime's instant video. All of the current season's content needs to be purchased. Not a replacement for cable if you want to stay current. If you don't mind watching seasons of shows 1-5 yrs old, there's content for years. My $.02

Yeah - but it still is $2 cheaper/month than the dvr fee and you would spend those 30 seconds having to manually fast forward through commercials versus just sit through a dumb ad. So...still a better option?

We ditched cable about a year ago. Roku box + hulu + Netflix + Amazon + a shatload of other free channels.

Am I watching the same stuff I watched before? No.

Have I ever run out of things to watch? No.

Would I rather be paying an extra $130/month for 900 channels of bullshit that I never watch? No.

Check out the coke and popcorn website and see if any of your shows are on there. The dot com address changes occasionally.

I download shows from there and watch them at work. They even have current season episodes.
