Default scale rc comp? *update page 4*

Would anyone be interested in a scale comp?

Being a poor bastard the real jeep will never get finished so I'm relying on the little guys.
If there is enough interest I might be able to set something up for this coming spring.

Obviously rules will be set in place.
Food and beverage supplied.

Events?
Show and shine: biggest beater, most realistic, best in show.
Hill climb
Rock crawl
Tag team time trial. ( partners will be randomly drawn, any flop during the run must be recovered using partners vehicle using a strap or winch ) will be set up as gates.

Open to ideas.

Ok so yhe comp will be set up like TTC .
Several small events/courses.
It will be points based.
No limit on tire size or axle width.
Wheel weights will not be allowed.

This will be taking place at rocks and valleys.
This event has been approved by ron price.
He is willing to donate time and materials for this, so I'm asking, is anyone willing to help with setup.

I take mine to twisted every time I go. Holy moly is awesome with my wraith. I would be interested. Also have some buddies with wraiths as well. We could wheel the real trucks and the r/c ones.

Basicly the course will be set up as gates, multiple routes to each gate. Longest route will be easiest, shortest more difficult.

You will be timed per gate along with a total time.
Shortest time wins

Terrain will vary.
Woods
Water crossings
Rocks
Slick climbs
Man made terrain
Ect.

If I can get 10 or so people I will whip up some trophies.

I know the feeling. All my touring cars are in boxes stashed in the basement.

I would like to limit the water depth. My brushless system is not waterproof and I don't want to burn up a $200esc or motor. I like enough water to get the tires wet and limit traction

I've still got my clod based crawler. It needs some work and probably new batteries. But its probably too big to run with the 2.2 and 1.9 scaler stuff

I've always wanted to build a scaler, but I just can't really justify the costs.

I don't think we need to break it up into classes. Just make it like a TTC. If you wanna run you gotta run against all sizes of trucks. Scale, crawlers, 1.9, 2.2, clods, 4 wheel steer, and all that crap. Bigger doesn't mean its better. Especially with strategic placed cones. I just don't know what you do about flops. Me and Mudntruck ran a short KOH style race through holy moly against each other. No penalties for flops or anything. Just raced against each other. it was fun. I would like something like that too.
