7.3 stalling

Truck stalls every once in awhile at idle in park. Just started doing this little sluggish act here and there while on the road.

Check engine light popped on next day...code reads ICP sensor. Dealership of course wants $190 plus a ridiculous amount to replace. I'm sure I can swap it out myself...anyone get a good deal on ford sensors???

I shot a text to Nate but he's on vaca at the moment....................

Yeah I seen your post about this on FB. I can get that sensor for quite a bit less than that. I can get an aftermarket sensor for $120 but wouldn't be able to call them till Monday on it. I would have someone double check it to make sure that is the issue.

Trish has the truck up in Boyne right now.......they took it to the dealership that her bf's buddy's dad works at. I read the aftermarket sensors cause other issues?? Not sure if that's legit or not

Just unplug the Icp connector and it will probly have oil in it. If so change or clean the pigtail good when you install the new sensor.

Dieselorings.com $147 free shipping. Sells all the quality parts, cheapest on the good racor fuel filters also(ford motorcraft reboxes these). Do as stated above, clean or replace pigtail connection.

Ended up having a salon client grab it from his dealership at cost. $134.50 brought to my shop. I just swapped it out...no oil in pigtail so skipped that. Runnin like a champ.

Aftermatket crank sensors pick up noise from wiper motor. Will make truck stall intermittently, there is a recall on that sensor.

Straight from dealership, ford part. Will keep an eye, and ear, open for issues. So far, so good.
