Have you taped the seams, caulked, surge protected, set it on bricks (and / or done all the other things to make this a safe, completed project) yet?



BTW, congrats on doing this with out spending $4000.

Can you burn acorns in these things? I've got ten oak trees and seems like i've already picked up enough to fill a dump truck.

I just switched to a pellet stove from a bio mass stove. Not sure if pits would work well or not? What stove are you using (is it a bio mass?)?

We did with my buddies stove a few winters ago. The didn't augar very well so we would hand feed them anytime we would be near the stove. Over loading on acorns would put the fire out. They put off plenty of heat though.

if you can burn pellets you can surely burn cherry pits.the bags are bigger with the pits also. call them at Beckman brothers and ask.there good people over there.

It's a pellet stove, not a wood stove. I think you only need 3" clearance behind the stove.
