I have multiple identical 2 bedroom mobile homes
Each has a single tenant
Some have gas water heater=$30 more on gas bill and $30 less on electric bill
Vice versa on the units with electric water heater
These are all in city limits in the same mobile home community

1 gallon of propane = 27 kilowatt hours of electric. I pay .09 cents per kilowatt hour. So my electric cost 2.43, currently I can get propane for 2.09. My wife negotiated our electric down from .14 to .09.

Our cabin uses Greatlakes energy. We had planned to heat with electric, so they reduced the kilowatt hour cost. However, I believe not much after this they lowered the kilowatt hour and raised fees anyway.

This is the first time I can say I am happy I have consumers energy! :Sonicjay:

That would piss me off to have to pay an extra 30 bucks a month for nothing! Hell, out here in Colorado they charge extra for everything and they don't even do that.

Yes back in the late 80's early 90's I had Consumers, in the summer I'd pay 5 dollars minimum usage fee. :).
I've posted before, I switched to all CFL's and my usage went up. This year part of August and September my mother was here. So I expected higher usage. This winter I'll expect bills over 100. I don't think I've ever had that.
The more I cut back the more I use and pay.

Must be something with different areas. When I get home from work I will take a look at my bill. As soon as I went to Colorado I paid a couple hundred extra on my last normal bill so I didn't have deal with bill every month for a few bucks. I only pay my utilities every few months so I don't really pay that close of attention. I like to be ahead on everything just in case cash gets low for unforeseen reasons.

Default Propane VS Electric

I rechecked their web site. All residential rates, year round and seasonal are 32.21.

I checked my consumers bill and I don't have an extra charge on my house which is residential or on the barns which is considered a farm with a different address than my house.

Got my neighbor pissed off. We talked about this increase, he winters in Florida. He keeps the AC on there at 80 all summer- his bill is in the low 20's. And in winter when he's there 40's.
When he's here 80's.

So do you mean just your usage?
Nope that's total usage. I thought I had rediculis fees and stuff. If I remember I'll post. Pic of the bill to give you an idea of the fucking you are taking.
