We usually stop at the Villager Pub when we're passing through. Good food, good beer.

I second the Villager, also check out the Landings in Ironton, it overlooks the marina & ferry, nice spot to sit outside.

Petoskey is better but the places already mentioned and the Airport bar/bowling alley is another option.

If you are going to Petoskey, I like the Noggin Room in the bottom of the Perry Hotel

What do you like there? We normally don't get food in Petoskey but went to Papa Lou's a while ago - pretty good ribs, and good beer on tap.

We go to a place that has a shuffleboard table and makes good pizzas, is that Papa Lou's?

Their pizza looked really good. Didn't see shuffleboard, but there's an upstairs I didn't see that could hold it?
