6 shooters are a waste imo....just weld on a tab to the high steer arm, then drill the knuckle and add a 1/2 grade 8 bolt. There are pics in my build thread. The trunion bearings are notorious for blowing apart....better to ditch them before they fail

Nice! I can do that. How do you tell if trunions are going bad? I don't have any play in my front right now . I do see a lot of people doing the trunion eliminator kit or the marlin big bearing kit . Which one is best bang for the $

Personally i prefer the eliminator kit....i believe it stronger and it's more simplistic.....i will add that i have seen two of Marlin's pins sheer off.

Couple more things i thought of that i ran into on mine:

1. Once you go to assist you will need a steering cooler....you will have a factory unit that is nothing more than a loop of tubing in front of the radiator....i just cut that and spliced in a small rectangular cooler.

2. You will need a bigger reservoir

3. You need to drill out the orifice in the pump....there are how to guides out there.....its not hard
