Crf150r is a little 4 stroke rocket ship with great suspension.

I had a 230f, it was a fun little bike but the suspension was my main dislike, but then again I'm over 200 lbs. it lacked power to be fun in the sand.
Crf 150. Good chic bike.

After a weekend riding with her u will wish u got her a quad though.unless she has been riding for years.

A 150f might work but I want to get her as fast as a bike as she can fit on. Would love to ride with her at the dunes. She's only 118 lbs I doubt with her riding ability the suspension will be a problem for her

That might work. How do they compare to a 230f as far as power goes?

Explain....
Because you think its a great idea to start a 118lb girl on the largest dirt bike she can fit on and hope for the best. Women also like to be comfortable and she won't have that on something she is scared of crashing or of its power, expecally in the deep sand. I could put my gf on a bike, she knows how and can ride around the yard , however when i asl if she wants a bike she says she loves to ride our 4 wheeler and follow me on my bike, and has no problem going all day, so for me that's more fun we have together because we are both happy and she feels safe and confident. Your gf may be different then mine but this is coming across like this is something you want for her cause she would look "hot" on one. Hopefully this is just one of your many threads that end up going no where.

I don't think its a great idea but as long as she takes it easy and i teach her she will be fine. I don't plan on taking her riding in any crazy terrain until she knows what she's doing. I also agree that for a girl a quad fits her better but she wants a bike. I also explained to her that if she falls and gets hurt she can't just give up and say she wants to sell it. She agreed she wouldn't and is set on a dirt bike so that's what I'm going to find for her.

If Girl is over 18 she is a woman, okay boy.
It's 2013 and girls and women can and do ride 2 wheel motorcycles. And wait for it ......
Can buy what they want.
Should anybody learn to ride and control a bike before getting on a powerful bike -yes.
Oh and don't drink and ride.

sorry woman, my bad.

Your right she can buy what she wants. Women buy clothes all the time and don't wear them or only wear them once. So will this dirt bike just sit around once she has her first crash? Will the OP actually go though with the purchase or just talk about it? Only time will tell. Motorcycles and dirtbikes are not the same IMO also.

With that said, I will say that if she is willing to learn, that's awesome, hopefully he takes his time teaching her right and puts her on a properly sized bike.
