Default Harbor Freight Jacks

I'm considering getting a lightweight floor jack from Harbor Freight to keep in the Jeep. The plus's is light weight and it's cheap. Any minuses?

Here is the one I'm looking at.

Ive also been kicking this idea around. Biggest down side I see is you can get a hi lift jack cheaper..

I already have a hi-lift but the bumper brackets won't hold it without folding.

Lots of dezert guys use that HF jack. They mount them in the bed and say they hold up well. But they dont lift very high. I have the biggest of that series of HF jacks and it gets used alot and has held up well. One of our wheeling rigs is a suburban so that one would not survive.

Had to delete meatspin. Although I think I broke the record on spins!

Used one of these doing roadside assistance for s couple years and it worked just fine. Being able to grab this with one hand out of the truck and the impact with the other was nice. I'd say go for it if you are just going to keep it in the jeep.

I keep one of these in my jeep jeep when wheeling, very handy and a lot safer than a high lift.

I have the 2.5 ton HF jack and it has worked great for me. I am actually pretty surprised it has held up so well. At the price I expected the casters to start puking bearings within a month, but it has been great.
