Snofari cant happen because of the government shutdown. You will all need to find another reason to get hotel rooms and drink too much.
Best of luck to you all.

Will the government be shutting down the snow clouds? What will they call it if they won't let it snow?

how much of a risk is there if my rig is not plated/registered? I'd love to do this, but heard they need to be plated since there's some road time. would love to just show up, do some cool trails and hit some fun spots without worry.

thanks

If you are not street legal, you are out. We put several street miles on and most runs have to go straight through town.

They are plated for on road use and insured for the same... No one said they were street legal...

Seriously, I thought you could get almost anything street legal in Michigan?

I wouldn't go as far as calling them all street legal (hydro steering jim burgundy)

but they are plated and insured. have working lights and turn signals etc. whats keeping yours from having a plate and insurance on it?

I could plate it and it's still insured now. I was worried about the other "street legal" stuff like fenders and such. I have working brake lights, turn signals, headlights, etc.....

no doors and no rear bumper

being a full blown truggy doesn't fly around here so street legal has a different meaning to me.

hopefully this will clear things up and help others as well.

Jeeps don't have doors. Michigan does not require rear bumpers on 4x4 trucks. Working lights are far more important. Plate it and come along.

Re other "things" that are street legal debatable, almost every modified 4x4 on the road can be ticketed by a knowing cop. The bigger issue is if you give them a reason to bother you.

^^ This. WB area cops seem pretty liberal when it comes to motorsports. Don't cause problems and you shouldn't have a problem.

Most of them have Harleys that are questionable as far as the vehicle code goes as well as plated UTVs.

...just sayin'.

I had probably the least streetable rig the last two years. Full hydro, 42's, no fenders, doors, or most windows, a cracked windshield, and lifted a mile; but working lights, plates, and insurance. The cops I saw just smiled and waved.

That said, I'm really looking forward to this again this year, especially since I will now have doors and will be much more street friendly.
