mild built 327 chevy will rock that truck .. did a to a few truck .. my buddy still has his and it just rips ..he runs 35, 39.5 and 44 and it seem to run all them tires great ...

A matter of how much shit you want to break. I would stick with the 22RE myself. You can run that thing all day on a tank of gas. There is always messing with the EFI gear too but that can be a can of worms. Otherwise the 4.3 Chevy isn't a bad swap. Keep the 'Yota t-case. You can also use the Astro van exhaust manifolds to save some $$ too.
