I'm actually impressed that it held together when shot even after the integrity of the glass was compromised by the crow bar.

Awesome!! I want to go to Detroit, pull up into a party store where all the neighbor people loiter, so I can point and laugh while flipping them off.

I joke of course.

I'm impressed with the disregard for safety. Those bullets had to go somewhere, and it appeared as if nobody took any safety measures to avoid catching a ricochet.

Might be because the glass is designed to capture the bullet rather than deflect it... which it did... when shot four times from point blank range...

Can't be much thicker than stock. The window track and opening will only allow for so much.

Just throwing this out there, but it's probably a different material......

Do they do anything to beef up the doors themselves?

Yea they are pretty much bullet proof and the underside can handle a small ied. Even has runflat inserts. They were shooting an ak at the windshield. All the glass is standard bulletproof like 1.5"thick. Doors reworked to accommodate them. They strip the whole car down to the bare frame and re enforce it. It was actually pretty neat. Just costly.

Seems like neat stuff. It looks as though it's not really any thicker than a normal window. Which is kinda cool because usually when you see those armored up vehicles they have windows that are a foot thick.
