Hey immortal, I was just thinking. Check into the contract you signed with the place that is you hired to take care of her. Those places aren't cheap. Usually, it is written in that they will provide transportation for medical care. Since they were unable to provide this service, any you were forced to incur additional costs because of their lack of ability to properly care and provide for you MIL, you may get a small amount off your bill.

For future reference, what you're looking for is am ambulette service. Usually they are fairly reasonable when scheduled. It's usually a small business owned by retired EMTs.

Around you they don't even do that.... they call Promed. When I was doing my clinical ride alongs we got sent to a home... 6 blocks away, to bring her to hackley... Because her sister had been brought in (from another address) and she developed 'difficulty breathing'.. She climbed into the truck, and had a seat. Told us it was easier than calling a cab.

true, a cab could easily take an hour or more to get here even though they are based a matter of minutes away and muskegon really is not that busy.
i haven't used a cab in over 20 years but have had guests call for one from my house, it's ridiculous. and then they expect a tip on top of that!

Yes but it is currently waiting on the new glass to be installed all the way around. And I'm on the other side of the state.

Friend of mine works at ProMED
aunt works at AMR in grandrapids

usually ambulance services will provide you with transportation with a contracted monthly plan, (i think my uncle pays $15 a month or something)
