Default 2 seater rzr vs 4 seater rzr

Well i am on the hunt for a polaris rzr. Does anyone have a 4 seater and do you regret buying it. I like the idea of 4 seats but they seem huge. I worried that they are under powered compared to a 2 seater and that they would get hung up alot being so long and not that high off rhe ground.

I do not own either but:

4 seaters are bigger than 2 seaters. Significantly longer wheel base.
They weight more, so with the same motor they have less power to weight ratio.

They will get high centered easier because they have a longer wheel base.

In my opinion, you are already an expert on RZRs, because all of you worries are correct. So, do you want to race / aggressively wheel this thing or drive the family around? That should be all you need to ask yourself to determine which one you should get.

The only experience I have is as a passneger but the 4 seat rzr was not much slower than the 2 seat rzr. 4 seater had two guys in it. 2 seater had 1 guy, 4 seater slowly lost one rzr length over approximately a 1/4-1/2 mile at most.

Everything else mr. green said is right. He is an expert just like me. He may be more expert than I am.

If I had the extra change, Iw ould buy a 4 seater over a 2 seater unless you are getting it for the sole purpose of racing. And I don't mean at Silver Lake. I mean real racing.

The main reason would be for cruising the dunes. From what i have read online the past couple days eveyone with a 4 seater loves them and the power loss with the extra weight is almost unnoticable. Thanks for the help im pretty positive ill be buying a 4 seater.

I have a 4 seater, the difference in speed is not much at all. the wheel base has pros and cons.

pro: it rides 100 times better than a 2 seater in whoops and is in my opinion and experience faster in the whoops. it also tracks very well in the tight twisty trails and is very fast.

cons: like green said the WB will get high centered easier but for most stuff other than rock crawling has never been a problem at all. Wont be a problem at all in the dunes.

the weight different of the actual unloaded machines is only a few hundred pounds so again not a huge deal.

what ever you get get a 900 XP

I got paddles for mine at the dunes and that made a big difference.

That's pretty much it. My 2 seat went lots of places the 4 seat couldn't because of the breakover. But there were times I wished I had the 4 either to haul more people and have more storage for junk on the trail.

I have both, not much difference in noticeable power. Both are a complete blast. The 4 seater takes up more space on the trail and is much harder to turn on tight trails. I enjoy the 2 seater more, but if I only had 1 it would be a 4 seater.

Get the new 1000. Its night and day better then the 900. 2014 900 4 seater is 18,400 otd at nelsons or babbits. The 1000 is 19,600. Babbits will beat nelsons otd price by 100 bucks. A 2013 900 le is 15,800. A 2014 is 16,400. I have drove all of them, all models and that new 1000 is king. Yes I am looking for a razor also. I'm saving for the 1000. Just check the rear suspension out compared too the 900. Its like comparing the old 800 to the 900.

I have called everywhere and these were the best prices I found. Each only had 1 4 seater in stock last week.u can put a deposit on a 1000.they were a couple weeks out on the next shipment of them.

Are they making the new 1000 in a 4 seater already? I thought it was only a 2 seater. If so mine might be going up for sale...lol You will catch a bunch of greif for owning a rzr but I can say I wish we all had them. I have WAY more fun in the rzr than I have had in any of my wheeling rigs, they are a blast but there is no cool factor like when you are in a buggy....lol

no 1000 4 seater yet. the 2 seater 1000 is 10" longer wheelbase then a 2 seater 900razor.so better ride. hands down the 900 4 seater rides way better then the 2 seater 900.
been out in a new 4 seater a bunch in the last few weeks. awesome rig but the fun factor for me is not there like a 2 seater. don't get me wrong youll have fun with any of them.you just have to decide if you wanna be all your buddys taxi or be your own man. lol.

yea for me im sick of wrenching on my buggy. I like the warranty and the idea I can drive out of my driveway and go wherever I want.drive to the dunes and drive home. bunch of my buddys have them now also.they go all the time.

I have the 4 seater. Bought it because I have a family of 5 (yes, I can fit 5 in a 4 seater). Most of my trips are with 2 seaters and there has never been a place I can't go that the 2's go. I climb hills better, go through whoops faster, power slide better, and can take more people with me. On razor backs there is the occasional extra point turn but rarely.

I would high center more often then the 2's but when i hammer it down I just slide over.

If i was in the market now I would do the 1000 4 seater but not trading in my 4 seat XP for one.

I have a 2012 xp4. I love it just got done going for a ride. I have drove a 2 seater and they aren't much faster at all. I enjoy beig able to take a few extra people or when it's just me and my GF we have room for enough stuff to trail ride all day including food parts fuel ect. I have high centered a few times and they were always my fault. I can go anywhere a two seater can sometimes with a little more "finesse" but still get it done. Being street legal going to the bar is a blast on this thing. I wouldn't take a free 2 seater.
