Yeah, once or twice. I think we owned stock on that place lol. Pretty sure they are. Been a while since I've been there.

One of my coworkers was up there a couple weeks ago and said it's no longer the Uphill. Sounds like the building is gone or converted into something else....either way I'm not particularly sad about it. I'd much rather spend time in Houghton than Hancock.

I can't say anything about the brewery, but that last part is definitely true.

If we are talking scary dive bar experiences in the UP i'd have to go with the time I rode in a school bus from the owners of Border Grills property out near big eric's brook into the "town" of skanee and we went to the bar.

I don't remember much, other than being scared for my life on the school bus, scared for my life at the bar, and scared for my butthole after the bar.....

The good news is I woke up in my sleeping bag in my tent all alone and none of my body parts were sore.

Somewhere on 28 about half way between Marquette and Munising there is a building on the North side of the road that says "Bar" and has several broken down cars on cinder blocks out front. Looks like a scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. If you're feeling adventurous, I dare you to go knock on the door, and walk through it if nobody answers...

I know the place.. It's been closed for quite awhile.. It's never actually been open for business in all my years of driving by (25+). It's been some kind of house, cult banquet center for as long as I can remember.

It does have a nice set of bull moose antlers still hanging above the door that I'd love to have at my camp.

Went to L'Attitude tonight and give it 2 thumbs up. Cool atmosphere, nice view, great service. Wife and sister in law both got burgers and were happy. I got mac n cheese and it was awesome. I've been dying to get back up and have KBC on tap again but got there and decided to try something different. Glad I did! Ore Dock Brewing Co. Dream Weaver is in my nre top 5 favorite beers I've ever tried

Glad to hear you liked it. Now get a few more beers in you and take a visit to that spooky ass "bar" half-way to Munising on 28 and see if it's haunted.

We're taking it fairly easy tonight, heading into Houghton/Keweenaw tomorrow. But we're coming back to Marquette Saturday morning. The weather doesn't look promising so we'll see how it goes. My foot is WAY better so I'm all for some hiking. Either way, we're staying at the Ramada and Portside and Flanigans are both on the to-do list that night. Hopefully somewhere else good for a nice meal too

The weather sucked Saturday so our main day of hiking/sightseeing in the Marquette area didn't happen. I thought about stopping for a picture at the Tioga Tavern for you guys, but I wasn't in the mood to be raped and murdered.
