Default things to do along the way driving to Florida?

We have to drive to Florida this weekend. We're in no hurry to get there and are open to stopping along the way to check out anything cool. Any suggestions? The only thing I know of going on of interest is SETTC, which is about an hour from I75. I've been told the whiskey distilleries are not very interesting.

I believe in TN, you can do an underground zip line just off the highway, there's signs for it on I-75.
or maybe check out Mammoth cave, not sure how far it is, but it's something I've wanted to do, and just not been able to.

I used to go to pigeon forge tenn. I havent been there in years heard its a gigantic tourist trap, I enjoyed the star car museum in gatliburg. They are a little out of the way, but might be a good place to stay the night.

mammoth cave was sweet. I really enjoyed it, but I wish my family would have went on something a little more adventerous than the regular tour. even on the regular tour there was a tight spot that some fatties couldn't fit through

that's the farthest south I've ever been by vehicle though

Yeah, there's a bunch of caves near the exits for Sweatwater, TN (it's also a good distance from Metro Detroit for an overnight stop). I always thought Lookout Mountain was cool too, but I'm a geography nerd and being able to see a bunch of states from one spot amuses me.

Stop in Cincinnati for some Skyline Chili and Graeter's Ice Cream.

That is not along the I-75 corridor, its over north of Nashville, a little west of I65. But if you aren't in a huge hurry, its not that much further out of the way to go that way, then down through Nashville, back over to I75 by chattanooga.

Fun place, Patrick and I went there coming back from KillerB's house, it was a very good time.

We are headed down to see my parents over Turkey Day week in Florida. We were just talking about hitting the caves near Chattanooga since it's not far off I-75. We stayed in Chattanooga back in 2001 before heading over to Tellico, but went to the aquarium with some friends instead of going to the caves.

We did Gatlinburg a couple years ago. Quite the tourist trap. We spent most of our time hiking in the mountains and avoiding the crowds in the city.

If you have a lot of time, you can always swing over towards the Blue Ridge Parkway and drive that down. That would likely add a bunch of time, though.

We'll save that for another trip. I've been on that for a while. Beautiful country for sure.

Fun thing to do on the way is flash your boobs at truckers. It makes them smile.

The hairier your chest the better.

Usually I'm in too much of a hurry just to get to Florida, even when I lived there and drove back and forth a few times, it was always a race to get there, maybe because I was raised with a truck driver step dad. Maybe when im old and grey I will learn to slow down and enjoy some stops.

Ruby falls are cool. Pigeon Forge has some fast and fun go carts.
