I havent called blueberry yet, and haven't made any reservations. Anyone renting a cabin with an extra space? I will sleep in the yukon on an inflatable mattress, but if I need to pay for a site, I'd rather pay for something with heat!

And high speed testing was an epic fail. I guess the guys that I had balance my rims had no idea what they were doing. Worse than ever! I might get time to add some more rubber balls but oherwise it'll be a shakey drive! Plus the hydro steering is so tight and responsive I need to learn to not over correct!

It's so pretty.
So tonight I got home late because I was knowledge transferring my projects even though I will be online and in my project calls tomorrow.
I came home washed the camper, loaded the camper, cleaned my tortoise cages, made food for the trip, worked on my project, packed more stuff in the camper, cleaned my kitchen, and now I am relaxing but ready and excited. I so need a vacation. I haven't been able to break free from work at all this year so this is goingggg to be so much fun.

Don't sweat it , I have the same tires and I have the same thing lucky i go 40. I had to air em down to make it work, coupled with my misaligned recentered H1's ain't gonna be going fast.

Got 99% of everything done today. I've been driving the Sami daily, and not many complaints. However the "low mileage" motor I swapped in is kinda gutless, and has some suspicious rattles and clunks. I'm throwing a quart of Lucas in it tomorrow. Hopefully it has some decent life in it.

I hoped to finish up fabbing the winch mount but was having issues seeing with one eye tonight while welding, so I'm planning to finish tomorrow morning :)

Make sure that balancer is not moving on that crank shaft its a common problem for the key to get wore out.

I finally got my rig back together today! Rebuilding a Dana 60, King Pins and all, is no walk in the park. Between getting the correct parts to start with, the tear down, cleaning of parts and then the reassemble, I need a vacation! Canada here we come! Heading up Thur morning.

For those with rigs that can't go fast.........

***** BE AWARE ***** We will have 20-30 miles on a 2 lane paved road that is the major shipping highway that circles the north side of Lake Superior. There are tons of semis and they will RIDE YOUR ASS so be prepared to get over on the shoulder of the road as quickly as possible. This is another important part of having a working CB and a mirror so the person in the back can let everyone to know to move over.

Keith,
I hope your "rattles and clunks" is a bit of an embellishment. Having a motor that you know is about to fail is not a good thing where we are going.

I'm just incredibly picky as to how an engine runs. I have very good hearing and can usually hear rod knocks and other issues looooong before other people do or anything major happens. This is just a new motor to me, and I probably have to get used to its special issues.

My plans changed for the better, I took tomorrow and Friday off. I hope to be on the road between 8-9am.

We have to make a couple of stops along the way, but should be there with plenty of daylight to setup camp.

Got sami done today! Winch amd snorkel done! Truck is packed with beef jerky and pop tarts.

Pretty much loaded up, waiting for the last of my laundry to dry. We plan to leave around 8:30 tomorrow after the kids are in school.

My eye is worse. I literally am doing everything with one eye but don't give a hoot. I'm coming no matter what. Since my co-pilot is hearing impared, we will be the see no evil hear no evil crew :D

It will be me, my girlfriend Stephanie, and my son Preston. The other five kids are staying with their other parents. We hopefully will roll in before dark.
