it was a good deal and the 6 speeds have a 4.17-1 1st gear, that combined with the crappy 2-1 205 low range would actually give me a nice crawling gear and still be able to go fast in low. I think it would be a perfect combo. but electronics suck and I dont think I will get everything to comunicate as they need to for proper function so im sticking with the 4r70.

Stopped at Motorcity Machines (alumcj's) the other night and cut out some nice link tabs... Thanks again for your help Mike!!
I got some work done yesterday, got the 14 bolt stripped and mostly cleaned. TMR shave kit showed up so now I need to cut the housing down. and make a truss.
Im going to have to rethink the front suspension to allow enough room for the front driveshaft.

Hopefully I can get a few guys over this week to help get the suspension mocked up.

I hate to put up a pic before the truss is finished but heres a Spy shot.......

Still needs alot of work before it is finished up. NO it wont be a big box...
The truss will be tappered and run the distance of the axle with two uprights and a top plate, plan to tie in a pinion support aswell.

Truss is coming along good, I only had about 2 hours to work in the barn this weekend. I am planning to cut some holes in the truss and weld in tube inserts.

Debating if I should seal the truss up to the housing and the axle tubes or if I should cut in drain slots so any water and mud that might get in will have a place to go instead of sitting in the truss and rotting shit out... whats the thoughts on that???
